Robotics to improve process quality and efficiency

Robotics for RMC - NanoXplore

RMC, a NanoXplore company, faces common challenges in the manufacturing industry: an aging workforce, increasing demands for quality and productivity, and difficulties in attracting and retaining skilled employees. To meet these challenges and remain competitive, RMC decided to innovate by integrating robotics into its production processes.

"We decided to turn to robotics to help us improve the quality and efficiency of our processes." - Marc-André Grenier, Quality & Engineering Manager, RMC-NanoXplore

Glue application operations, in particular, were a source of concern for RMC. These repetitive, time-consuming tasks could lead to employee injuries and variability in product quality. Using different brands of robots presented programming and management challenges. However, it also enabled RMC to learn which machines worked best in different environments and processes.
